Vigilant Technology Introduces Compact NVR with Embedded PoE+ Switch Capability
Vigilantís Integro NVR simplifies installation and lowers cost of ownership
Hod Hasharon, Israel Ė April 25, 2013 - Vigilant Technology, a BATM Company and provider of intelligent IP video surveillance and security solutions, today announced the release of a new compact network video recorder with a built-in Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch for the small to mid-sized surveillance environment.†
ďBy embedding a PoE+ switch with the NVR, a single cable can carry both data and power, making installation easier by reducing cable requirements,Ē stated Ohad Kleinman, director of product marketing at Vigilant Technology.† ďThis means that smaller business users such as retail, education, finance, or government institutes can install a professional surveillance system without the complexity and expensed incurred in larger systems.Ē
Compliant with the IEEE 802.3af standard, the system supports a wide range of IP cameras including PTZ.† The Integro NVR utilizes Vigilantís NetVR software that supports Vigilantís NetStream series IP cameras and video encoders as well as many third party vendors. Vigilantís open architecture design allows customers to customize their surveillance solution around their particular needs. Based on ONVIF specifications that ensure interoperability regardless of manufacturer, the Integro enables complete flexibility in design that lets users choose from a variety of security products
The Integro is equipped with 16 ports, each supporting full HD (1080P) resolution, with H.264 or MPEG-4 compression.† The system offers superior video quality while utilizing significantly lower bandwidth and storage requirements.† Its modular design enables multiple NVRís to be networked as surveillance needs expand.† With a choice of 2TB to 9TB storage capacity, users can configure a system that best meets their needs.
